My wife and I decided to alter our life plans, selling our main residence in London and leaving our enjoyable but rather challenging jobs to travel the world. A fundamental change to our life in London, intending to travel for half the year and work the rest of the year for the next few years.

Our first trip was a six month trip to India and Sri Lanka, sandwiched between a relaxing break in Dubai and Koh Lanta (Thailand).

Our second trip was a six month tour across South America, traveling around 14,000+ miles from north to south down the west coast and then back up along the east coast.

Starting in Columbia, then Equador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. Our travels to Uruguay and Brazil had to be curtailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the end of 2021 we returned to South America to complete our travel plans across Uruguay and Brazil over a 3 month period. It’s so good to be back travelling again! We You can see our initial itinerary here.

In November 2022 we started a trip visiting Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea and Japan over a six month period.

Next trip is Central America, starting in Panama, then Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras. El Salvador, Belize and Mexico.

The intent of this blog is to record our experiences and where possible to try to share the experience with photographs of what we encounter, I hope you enjoy the ride.
