South Africa – Wilderness

We stayed in Wilderness for a couple of nights, slowly getting closer to Cape Town.

It’s a small but cute town with a massive beach.

Close by are some cliffs used by paragliders seeking thermals for take off.

It looks impressive but best watched from the ground!

We took on one of the local Kingfisher hikes around the nearby lakes. We spotted this small buck watching us pass by.

The hike was nice but there were lots of molehills to navigate along the way.

Finally we saw the lake beyond the rushes.

Below is the old railway bridge which it is possible to walk across although roadworks blocked our way.

We had a fun couple of days here, it’s very quiet and peaceful too.

Next we head inland to Calitzdorp to see the other side of the Garden Route loop.
