El Salvador is one of the Central American countries that I had some concerns about visiting given the struggles the country has been through of recent.
But it turned out to be one of the most welcoming countries that we have visited in Central America with lots to see and do also.
We had a long transfer from Nicaragua, finally arriving at the surf town of El Tunco.

San Salvador, the country’s capital city was our next stop, just an hour from the coast.

After our time in the city we headed back to the coast for some relaxation in a town called Los Cobanos.

Our final destination was Santa Ana, the country’s second largest city and based close to the border of Guatemala.

El Salvador was great, they have a tag #DontSkipElSalvador – go there and enjoy it!
Next we head to Guatemala.
