Cuenca is Ecuador’s third-largest city and was founded as a Spanish settlement in the mid-1500s. But traces of civilization go way back to over 10,000 years ago! Perhaps most notably, Cuenca was once inhabited by the Incas.

The main attraction in Cuenca for us was the annual Christmas Eve parade, the Pase Del Nino Viajero.
