Los Organos is about twenty minutes south of the well known backpacker town of Mancora, on Peru’s northern coast. It’s a much smaller town but has a fantastic beach which stretches for miles both north and south.

There is a small fishing port nearby that attracts plenty of wildlife to feast on the leftovers from fish as they are prepared for market. Pods of Pelicans patrol the sea, skimming the surface of the sea, ready to dive at an instant for visible fish below. Turtles and even blue footed booby birds hang by the pier for fish offcuts going spare.
