
Cabo de Polonio is set within a national park with only around 100 inhabitants apart from the daily visitors that come for day trips. There are places to stay here although most are fairly basic, most relying on solar power alone.


The small town has a number of restaurants and stalls, many more than we expected, it’s such a unique place to visit.






The area boasts the second largest seal colony in the country and you can hear them ‘barking’ from a distance. Many are located behind the lighthouse, more out to sea on some offshore rocks.
